Habesha

Description

The landing is on a somewhat sloping ledge past some thick underbrush. We did clear it out, but it may have a tendency to grow back. This East facing little route is practically always in the shade.

Start climbing up some steep finesse requiring moves following the bolts to the two bolt belay and lower. 5.9+, 20m.

Location

Habesha is what Ethiopians call themselves. I must be sort of a Habesha Wannabe:)?... although Glen is the only one of us to ever have Rasta Dreds!

Located another 15m down hill to the left of the longer Amyloid Plaques. This unique rock is a very compact conglomerate like steep slab. It is a very different rock feel than everything around it.  Short, but nice.

Protection

5 or so QDs to a two bolt belay. Glen and I finished drilling this in a raging thunder shower.
